COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CLOTH, INTERLINING, COTTON OR SYNTHETIC WARP, AND SPUN HAIR-WOOL OR RAYON FLLING.
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description in preference to Military Specification MIL-C-296.
Abstract. This commercial item description covers cotton or synthetic warp, spun hair-wool or rayon filling cloth material intended for use as interlining material in various clothing items.
1. CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Classification. The cloth shall be of the following types and classes as specified (see 5.1).
Type I – Light weight
Type II –Medium weight
Type III – Heavy weight
2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
2.1. General description. The warp yarns shall be either 100 percent cotton, 100 percent polyester, or any combination of polyester and cotton, or form 45 to 70 percent polyester with the remaining percentage rayon. The filling yarns shall be either a staple fleece or pulled wool blended with goat-hair and spun on the worsted system into singles, or a blend of goat-hair and rayon spun into
