COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION
CLOTH, COATED
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this
Commercial Item Description (CID), for all Federal agencies.
1. SCOPE
1.1 Scope. This commercial item description covers coated or laminated cloth intended for use as tablecloths and shelf covers.
2. CLASSIFICATION
2.1 Classification. The coated or laminated cloth shall be of the following color, as specified (see 7.3)
White- FED-STD-595, Color Chip No. 27780
Yellow- FED-STD-595, Color Chip No. 13519
Green- FED-STD-595, Color Chip No. 14193
Red- FED-STD-595, Color Chip No. 11310
3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
3.1 Coated or laminated cloth. The finished cloth shall consist of a non-woven, woven, or knitted cotton, polyester, or cotton/polyester blend base cloth coated or laminated on one side with a synthetic resin pigmented to approximate the color specified and shall meet the requirements listed in Table 1. The coated or laminated side shall have a plain or satin finish and shall not strike through to the back of the cloth. The finished cloth shall be 53 + 1 inches (134.6 + 2.5 cm) wide by 12 yards +1/2, -0.0 yard (1 1.0 m + 0.5, -0.0 m) long and shall be in one continuous piece.
