CLOTH, BIRDSEYE AND GAUZE, COTTON
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to Federal Specification CCC-C-425.
Abstract. This commercial item description covers cotton birdseye cloth (type I, class 1) and gauge (type II) intended for use in the fabrication of infant diapers. The class 2 and class 3 cloth is intended for use in the fabrication of cooling, toxicological agents protective, and rocket fuel handlers coveralls.
1. CLASSIFICATION
1.1 Classification. The cloth shall be of the following types and classes as specified (see 5.1).
Type I – Birdseye
Class 1 – Diaper cloth (bleached)
Class 2 – Coverall cloth (bleached)
Class 3 – Coverall cloth (dyed)
Type II – Gauze – double layer (bleached)
